Welcome to First Grade at Arlene Bitely Elementary School.  My name is Martin Garcia, and I have had the privilege of teaching at Bitely School for the past 5 years.  I have been in education for over two  decades in different capacities such as: Academic Coach, Program Specialist, Resource Teacher, Principal and District Administrator.  My experience in these various capacities has prepared me to be the best teacher you will have this year!

As we embark on our journey through the Common Core curriculum, it is my hope to help all my students develop critical thinking skills, engage collaboratively with peers, and become life-long learners.  In addition, it is my hope to help you love learning through challenging fun activities throughout the year.
