Approved Smart Snacks for School 🍎

To support healthy eating habits, Garvey School District follows the USDA Smart Snacks in School nutrition standards for all foods and beverages brought to school for classroom celebrations and other school-day activities.

Please note that the approved snack list is not all-inclusive. If you would like to bring an item that is not on the list, you can check whether it meets the USDA Smart Snacks standards by using the online calculator:

If the item qualifies, please print the approval page from the calculator and provide it to the school. Once approved, the item can be added to the district's approved snack list.
