Welcome from the New Principal!

Dear Parents, Staff, and Community Members,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new principal of Bitely Elementary. My name is Gabriela Benitez, and I am honored to join this vibrant school community. With over 25 years of experience in education, I have dedicated my career to fostering a nurturing and innovative learning environment for students, and I am excited to bring that passion to Bitely. 

Throughout my career, I have worked in a multitude of roles including: an instructional aide, classroom teacher, intervention TOSA, academic coach, middle school and high school assistant principal and now just began my 11th year as a Garvey School District Principal. Each role has reinforced my belief that every child deserves a supportive and engaging educational experience. My approach as a principal focuses on collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous improvement. I am committed to working closely with our talented staff, supportive parents, and enthusiastic students to ensure that Bitely remains a place where curiosity is ignited and lifelong learning is inspired.

In the coming months, I look forward to meeting each of you and learning more about our school community. Your insights and experiences are invaluable, and together, we will continue to build on the strong foundation that has been established.
